Kanin Alp-Mount Kanin is the highest resort in Slovenia

Kanin is Slovenia's highest ski resort where the slopes spread higher than 2000 m. It lies above Bovec with a view over the world-renowned Soca Valley. Kanin is a high-mountain ski area, and its skiing season lasts from December to the May 1st holiday because of its high altitude.

This ski area is never crowded and is distinguished by its sunny location and a view that stretches from the heart of the Alps to the Adriatic Sea.

Kanin stands out from other resorts due to its amazing location within the famous Soca Valley, with the turquoise waters of the Soca River nearby. Incredible views in all directions and a view reaching to Venice and the Adriatic coast make skiing at Kanin a unique experience.


How to get there? It is only about one and a half hours drive from Ljubiana, the capital of Slovenia. On the way, you can see beautiful greeneries, crystal clear streams of rivers, particularly the Soca River. Kanin is one of the most popular holiday resort in Bovec.

Take a cable car ride, to bring you to the hill top. It will cost you Eur13/-. For the more sporty visitors, you may also walk up along the track. Of course, this will take sometime to reach the destination.
